A 1780 church house,
a French classic and a secret garden
In the heart of Lorgues, push open the door of an old Provençal house. Behind the façade: a shaded terrace, and a secret garden where a handful of tables nestle in the shade of a magnificent olive tree.
A home with a story
Our walls are more than two centuries old. Set in the heart of Lorgues, this 1780 house was originally a church house — and you can still feel it in its serenity. It has kept its soul: weathered stone, generous volumes, the coolness of old Provençal buildings. You step inside as you would open a travel journal — every room has something to tell.
It's here, at 12 avenue Allongue, 83510 Lorgues, that the gourmet stopover of Carnets de Voyage comes to life.
A stopover, not just a meal

The hidden garden
Behind the house, a garden no one would suspect from the street. Just a handful of tables, set beneath a magnificent olive tree, a cascading bougainvillea and the song of the cicadas. Absolute calm, in the shade, in the heart of the village. It's our favourite spot for a lunch that lingers.

We take our time
On the terrace, you settle in for good. Attentive, warm service, no fuss, that knows the day's menu inside out — it changes every week. We tell you about the dishes, suggest a glass of wine, and give you all the time to travel from one plate to the next.
Welcome, settle in
When evening falls
Inside, you can enjoy a drink in the early evening, in a warm, softly lit atmosphere. The spirit of the house stays the same: you feel good, you stay a little longer than planned.

Play corner, warmth & details
A play corner for the children while the grown-ups linger over the meal, nooks that invite conversation, and everywhere the same promise chalked on the slate: cuisine from here and elsewhere.
